Day out with Thomas 2008

09/20/2008

Thomas the tank engine came to the Colorado Railway Museum (http://www.crrm.org/) this September  as he does every year.  The last time we went to see him was when Tyler was 3 and Connor was a baby.  This year we got ourselves tickets.  Apparently it is a right-of-passage for Colorado Shepard 3 year olds.

When Thomas comes, thousands of kids want to visit the Railway Museum.  The Museum does not have nearly the amount of parking needed to handle everyone, so they shuttle everyone over from a bigger lot a mile or two down the road.

Here are the boys waiting in line for the bus to take us to the museum.

Our ride on Thomas was the first one of the day.  It was sort of nice to get that out of the way.  Thomas pulled a bunch of cars around the museum 3 times.  Thanks for the ride Thomas!
This is Connor's favorite train.  He calls it the Polar Express.  The boys are able to see this anytime we come.  It was a bit frustrating for Mom and Dad that we had trouble getting the kids moving to the Thomas stuff (the stuff that is not always there).  At least the kids had fun.
The Fairmount Fire Department brought a pumper engine for the Day out with Thomas for the kids to climb on board.

Here are the boys on the fire engine.

Here is the best picture we have of the boys and Thomas together.
