Towards the end of July, we went camping at Guanella Pass Campground. This Campground is located extremely close to the top of Guanella Pass. It was very hot down in Denver and about 30 degrees cooler up at our campsite.


		This is a shot of our campsite. It was very nice among the trees and along a little stream. It was probably the nicest "car camping" site we have ever stayed in. It was a bit chilly because of the altitude, but that felt nice considering how hot it was down where we had come from.
On Saturday, we took a little hike up a jeep road. We discovered some more good camping sites we might try once the kids are a bit older.

On Sunday, we went up to the top of the pass. Here are the boys in front of Mt. Beirstadt (a very popular 14er to climb)
